BALTIMORE, MD, (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A multi billion naira state of the art frequency Modulation (FM) Radio and Television stations owned by Nigeria’s immediate past Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison Maduke, is set to hit the airwaves.
AFRICAN EXAMINER exclusively gathered from a source close to the consultancy firm handling the project that both the administrative and studio complexes of the two electronic media outfits, located in Enugu city have reached over 95 percent completion.
Mrs. Madueke, was a super Petroleum Minister, as well as the most powerful kitchen cabinet member of ex- president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Her critics in Nigeria believe her name is synonymous with an unprecedented oil corruption.
The Source, who craved anonymity said “the Radio and TV stations when completed will be among the most powerful privately owned media organzatons in East of the Niger.
“As I speak, recruitment of personnel, both editorial and administrative are almost over” the source added
African Examiner also gathered that the stations are poaching seasoned broadcasters within and outside South east zone due to the attractive remuneration the management is dangling.
Another source told our correspondent that Mrs Madueke is gradually preparing the ground for her future governorship ambition, which she has been nursing for quite a long time.
The former Minister is married to a one time military Governor of old Anambra state, Rear Admiral Allison Amaechina Madueke, who hails from Oji River Council Area of Enugu State.
