The Leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, have secretly directed all its House of Representatives members to return to Abuja on Monday ahead of next Wednesday resumption of the House.
A source who does not want his name in print said that the decision to have all members of the APC caucus in Abuja on Monday was to have sufficient time to strategise against any possible onslaught by the rival Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“The party believe that the PDP was not done yet with Speaker Aminu Tambuwal including plot to impeach him.
“APC is aware of clandestine move to prevent Speaker from presiding on Wednesday and where such plan is hatch, the APC members will counter it.
“To ensure that nothing is left for chance, the initial screening of the National Assembly by the party scheduled to hold in the 36 states beginning from Monday have now been shifted to Abuja.
“The decision was not to allow the screening to be a distraction whereby, APC legislators will remain in their respective states and thereby give their PDP counterpart an unfettered access to remove Tambuwal”, the source said.
