Ex-Aviation Minister Chidoka Stripped Of Chieftaincy Title, Suspended From Royal Council

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Nigeria’s ex-minister of Aviation Chief Osita Chidoka, has been striped of his chieftaincy title, “Ike Obosi”and suspended indefinitely from the royal council in Obosi, Idemili local government Ara of Anambra state, South- East Nigeria.
He was suspended weekend along with others for bringing to the palace of the Monarch of Obosi community the corpses of two All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) members killed during the Idemili North and south federal constituency supplementary election between Hon Ibezi and his younger brother, Hon. Obinna Chidoka on Saturday, March 9.
Chidoka, a former Corp Marshal of the federal Road safety Commission FRSC, and spokesperson of the presidential campaign organization of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,committed what is perceived in the community as a sacrilege .
The lifeless bodies our Correspondent gathered, were taken to the Igwe Obosi’s palace and dumped there with alleged instructions by Chidoka to also take them to Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano.
Other title holders suspended with Chidoka included, Chief Linus Mgbakogu (Atta Obosi) and Chief Hyman Udemba (Aka Mposi Obosi).
A source close to the palace of the Community’s Monarch, who craved anonymity, hinted that in line with the tradition of Obosi people, the Igwe cannot set his eyes on a corpse.
According to the Source, being a titled chief in Obosi community, the former FRSC boss, knows full well that bringing those dead bodies to Igwe’s palace is a taboo in the land.
It would be recalled that Chief Chidoka contested the last Anambra state governorship election in 2017, under the platform of United People’s Party (UPP,) and lost to the incumbent governor, Chief Willy Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA.).
