Ex-Anambra Governor, Peter Obi Dumps APGA For PDP

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has formally dumped his Party, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Obi, declare for the PDP when he received a high powered delegation of the party members led by the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh to his residence in the GRA in Onitsha.
The delegation was dispatched by the National Secretariat of PDP to woo Obi to join the party.
While receiving the delegation, the former Anambra Governor described the visit as a conspiracy. He added that, “politics is not anything but what you have done today. I am sure that your journey will not be in vain.”
In his submission, Metuh described Obi as an important part of President Goodluck Jonathan’s aspiration in 2015 adding that, “We need you not to sabotage the aspiration of the president.
” We have noted your importance and the party believes that at this critical point it is imperative for you to come and join the PDP.
“The PDP is the only party that fosters unity, others are ethnic based.”
