Enugu: Police Nab 20 Criminals, Recover 70 Stolen Vehicles

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested 20 suspects linked with various criminal activities, such as armed robbery, car snatching, child trafficking and cultism in the area between August and September this year.
According to the Command, a total of 70 suspected stolen vehicles as well as firearms were recovered in various parts of the state during the period under review.
The state police Public Relations officer PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu Friday, said that “the state command in its renewed onslaught against crime and criminality in the state had within the last two months made significant arrest of suspected criminals.
Meanwhile, the state commissioner of police, Mr. Abubakar Adamu Mohammed assured that the command would stop at nothing at ensuring that the state maintains its status as safest through improved partnership between the force and members of the public as well as other sister security agencies and stake holders.
He however, appealed for useful and timely information from members of the public as information about criminal activities was vital for the operation of the force.
