The impeached Enugu Deputy Governor, Sunday Onyebuchi has decried his sack and said action of the State Assembly “will not will not stand before the law”.
Onyebuchi was sacked by 21 out of 24 state’s legislators Tuesday for running a commercial poultry in his official residence as well as insubordination to his boss and State Governor, Sullivan Chime.
The former Deputy Governor who slumped last week before the 7-man investigative panel while testifying against the allegations pressed against him, later told the panel that the reasons for his impeachment were politically motivated and mere witch hunting.
He equally accused Governor Chime of running a piggery farm in his official abode and earmarking annually, budgets to run the private venture.
Addressing the newsmen few hours after his impeachment, Onyebuchi announced he would challenge the legislators’ action in court.
He expressed confidence that he would be reinstated and told his successor not to operate a poultry, but rather should “rear ostriches, monkeys and cows.”
