Enugu Lawmakers Approve 12 Special Advisers for Governor Ugwuanyi

By Ignatius Okpara, Enugu – The Enugu House of Assembly has approved the list of 12 Special Advisers submitted to it by the State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The 24 man Assembly made the approval during the inaugural plenary session.

Leader of the house, Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu who presented the Governor’s request justified it was important that the list be approved to enable the new administration take off immediately.

The lawmaker, pointed out that the SAs would help the Governor to deliver democracy dividends to the people.

Although, names of the nominees were not made public at the session.

It would be recalled Governor Ugwuanyi recently appointed the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief Press Secretary, Senior Special Adviser, SSA on Media.

Also during the sitting, the House constituted a selection committee that would enable it form its Standing Committee.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, is to head the selection committee, while the principal officers of the House, as well as the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Donatus Uzogbado are members of the committee.

Other members of the committee are Hon. Iloabuchi Aniagu, SKE Udeokoye, Christian Nwamba and Nnamani Ezenta.
