Electoral Committee Disqualifies Odegbami, Others From Contesting NFF Presidency
Featured, Latest Headlines Wednesday, August 13th, 2014The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has just disqualified trio of former Green Eagle’s striker and Captain, Chief Segun Odegbami, NFF ex-Scribe, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi and acting head of the glass house, Victor Umeh from contesting the exalted position of the body’s Presidency.
African Examiner Sports Correspondent reported that the proprietor of Giwa’s club side, Chris Giwa was cleared by the body’s electoral committee to contest for the NFF plump position.
Maigari was shown the way out by the glass house executive committee who accused him of financial recklessness.
The decision was reached barely two weeks after the world Football Governing body, FIFA lifted its ban on the country from participating in any FIFA – organized football tournament.
The latest development, which no official reason has been adduced yet, makes the second time Chief Odegbami will be disqualified from contesting the glass house head.
