The Plateau PDP candidate, Gyang Pwajok challenged the April 11 poll, won by his rival, Governor Lalong, alleging that the election was fraught with many irregularities, thus prayed the lower Tribunal annul it and declare him the winner.

Journalists were however barred by the security operatives, from entering the court room for live coverage of the ruling.
Similarly, Delta State Governorship Tribunal has validated the election won by the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa of the opposition PDP and dismissed the petitions of O’tega Emerhor, of the ruling APC and Great Ogboru of Labour party (LP).
