EFCC On Arrest Trail, As Operatives Nab Former Kebbi Governor, Dakingari

The anti-graft body, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) continues with its trailing of suspected corrupt government officials, as its operatives Monday arrested the former Kebbi State Governor, Usman Dakingari over alleged laundering of N3.8 Billion.

Dakingari who was elected the Governor of the North West State, under the platform of the opposition PDP, after the arrest today, was detained for interrogation at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.

The former Governor is an in-law to the former President Umaru Musa Yar’dua. His wife, Zainab was recently arrested by the EFCC operatives over alleged laundering on behalf of her husband, of the sum of N2 Billion.
