Following revelations by the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rted), the Chairman of DAAR Communication, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, has been quizzed for interrogation by the anti-graft body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Dokpesi was implicated by Dasuki, who revealed that over N2 Billion allegedly meant for the purchase of arms, was paid by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to the opposition PDP Chieftain.
The alleged sum was paid to Dokpesi with the directive of Dasuki.
Dokpesi is now being held for further investigations by the EFCC.
It would be recalled the ex-NSA who has been re-arrested by the EFCC operatives after recently being placed under house arrest, submitted about a fortnight ago, that the country would be stunned when he opened up on the alleged allegations against him.
Dasuki recently has been in and out of the DSS custody, as well as court, on the alleged illegal and fraudulent arms purchase, which cost huge sum, during the tenure of former President Jonathan.
Dr. Dokpesi is an ally of ex-President Jonathan and strong supporter of his government as well as Presidential campaign. His medium – AIT was widely lampooned for broadcasting various offensive and denigrating documentaries on the then opposition party, its President candidate (President Muhammadu Buhari) and selected key Chieftains.
