Easter Celebration: Kwara Police Deploy Officers To Churches

The Kwara State Police command in its bid to ensure security of lives and properties during Easter period has deployed officers to churches in all the 16 local governments area of the state.
The Kwara state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ambrose .O. Aisabor disclosed this while addressing newsmen in State Police headquarter, Ilorin on Thursday.
He said the command deployed officers to places of worship to protect citizens during and after Easter period.
“We deployed police officers to churches in Ilorin and all 16 local government areas in the state to ensure safety of worshipers. The security of life and properties is our major assignment and we will do everything to protect the people during Easter period and beyond” He added.
Similarly, the Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, Mr. Idris Ibrahim has urged the public to provide useful and vital information on threats to lives and properties to the police.
Mr. Idris Ibrahim made the appeal in Lafia while addressing the Igbo Community Association in the state who visited him in his office on Thursday.
He said:“It is very important for us to collaborate and understand each other so as to curb crimes and criminality in our society.”
The Commissioner said that any useful information given to the police by the people would assist in tackling security challenges in the state and country.
He advised security agencies to partner which each other to ensure safety of Nigerians.
Ibrahim reiterated the determination of the Nasarawa Police Command to protect their lives and properties during and after Easter celebration.
