Dossier of Jonathan’s Corrupt Deals Not From Me -Okonjo-Iweala
Featured, Latest Headlines Sunday, July 19th, 2015By Collins Amadi – Former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Dr. Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has denied the media reports, alleging she had handed over to President Muhammadu Buhari, “Dossier of Corrupt Deals” by the immediate past administration.
In a statement issued by her Media Adviser, Paul C Nwabuikwu, the ex-Minister replied “the recent report by some online media organisation that former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has handed over a “dossier of corrupt deals” perpetrated by the Jonathan administration to President Buhari is completely false and without foundation”.
She further contended that the report she described as a “sponsored lie” was part of the political attack against her person.
“These attacks will continue given that these individuals are bent on a political and personal vendetta against her” Iweala insisted.
The statement alleged that the former Minister’s foes were furious, simply because she tried to “bring integrity and transparency to the management of Nigeria’s public finances which obviously did not suit their interests”.
Iweala was however hopeful that the truth of the matter would at last prevail.
