Detained Jonathan’s CSO Dismisses Death Rumour In DSS Custody
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, July 21st, 2015By Ganiyu Nasirudeen – The Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, Gordon Obua has dispelled the rumour that he is dead in the DSS custody.
Obua while speaking in a press conference Tuesday, at the security agaency’s headquarters, Abuja affirmed that he is “alive and well”, as well as has since been taken good care of by his employers.
He thanked family members and members of the public who he said expressed serious concern and shock over the news of his rumored death.
He also confirmed that he remained a staff of the DSS, explaining that after his service as the CSO to the former President, his agency deemed it fit that he should give account of his stewardship.
He also spoke in contrary to the reports of mal-handling in detention, affirming that there was no adverse situation towards his person. He equally thanked the DSS Director General, Mr. Lawal Daura for the way he has handled him from the day (July 16) he was detained till the moment.
