Deeper Life’s Founder, Pastor Kumuyi, Takes The Gospel To Enugu Hinterlands

Like one of the foremost Apostle of Jesus Christ, Simon Peter, the founder and general Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible church worldwide, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, had remained committed in the spreading of the gospel of Christ to all nations, including Nigeria.

The renowned and fire-brand pentecostal cleric, also believes strongly in practical Christianity hence, he always preach the gospel undiluted when ever he mounts the alter of God, or podium as the case may be.

Though, a Nigerian by birth, Kumuyi, has traversed virtually the entire globe in the course of wining souls for Jesus Christ, as well as setting the captive free.

Over the years, the name Pastor Kumuyi, had been synonymous with signs and wonders as well as extraordinary supernatural miracles during special religious programmes, such as crusades.

Since the establishment of the church in August,1973, the Nigerian indigenous Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), had continued to grow from strength to strength, as it can now boast of branches across the world.

Apart from soul winning for Christ, the Deeper Life church had continued to Impact on humanity in various sectors, especially education.

The tremendous breakthroughs and spiritual upliftments of depressed believers by the church had over the years, continued to attract more membership to its fold.

As a faith based organisation, which believes firmly in the teaching of Jesus Christ and dictates of the Holy Bible, (DCLM), which started as a 15- member Bible study group on the campus of university of Lagos (UNILAG), has today blossom.

Because of its founder’s visionary leadership, the church is today regarded in many quarters as one of the fastest growing Pentecostal Christian Ministry in Nigeria and beyond.

Presently, it has established presence in over 60 countries across the globe, which includes, African continent, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, among others.

In the last forty years of its existence, the ministry has grown to become a multi faceted omnibus of a Christian mission, pursing its goal of spiritual and secular development of mankind through its various arms, among which is, the Deeper Life Bible church DLBC, which it has planted in all villages and cities in Nigeria, with over one million and five hundred members.

Other arms of the church, include Deeper Life campus Fellowship, DLCF, a specialised arm of the ministry that based in tertiary institutions of higher learning, targeting students in their prime age.

The organ is fully entrenched in nearly all the major tertiary institutions, such as universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, amongst others.

The church also runs the Deeper Life Prison Outreach, an arm that reaches out to the prison inmates. Deeper Life hospital outreach is another organ of the church that reaches out to sick people admitted in various hospitals with the gospel massages, which will bring salvation and healing to them.

In fact, the ministry has no fewer than ten different arms which handles various human related issues and problem. However, because of his total commitments in transforming peoples lives, both spiritually and physically, the General Superintendent (G-S) of the church, Pastor Kumuyi, has from time to time staged evangelical gospel crusades designed to minister to the needs and problems of people.

Available testimonies records indicate that such spiritual exercise have over the years, yielded wonderful fruits when ever it is organised, as scores of people who attended with various forms of problems go back home free and transformed.

Over the years, there had been reported cases of Deeper Life church crusades in many cities, where God used Pastor Kumuyi, as an instrument to make the lame work, blind to see, the deaf to hear, dumb to speak, among other signs and wonders.

Perhaps, it is in line with the biblical injunction when Jesus Christ commanded his Disciples to go into the world to disseminate the gospel, as well as heal the sick, that Pastor Kumuyi, decided to storm the coal city state of Enugu, for a 3-day power- packed evangelical crusade, which lasted between 15-17, August 2014.

However,exactly six months, August 2014 precisely,after the crusade took place in Enugu, Pastor Kumuyi, is set to visit the coal city state for yet another. Power- packed 5- day crusade as directed him by God.

Unlike that of 2014 which took place only in Enugu city, the forthcoming crusade scheduled to hold between 27th- 31st January, 2015 will take place in eight regions of the church in the state.

The crusade with the Theme: “Great Day of His Power”

Will come to a climax on 31st, January at the Deeper Life Camp ground, along Abakaliki Express road, near naira Triangle Enugu.

Addressing newsmen in Enugu on the forthcoming spiritual exercise, Enugu state Overseer of the church, Pastor Godson Ezenwajiofor, said “what we saw in August 2014 was just the tip of an iceberg in comparison to what we are expecting in this month of january, 2015”

“The last event was held at a single location as earlier stated, but this time around, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi is personally taking his evangelistic crusade to the headquarters of all 8 regions of Deeper Life Bibile Church in Enugu state.

“The man of God desires to take the good news of the gospel and its attendant deliverance power to the lowliest,the richest and mightiest, to the door steps of all and sundry in Enugu state”

Said Ezenwajiofor:, “Pastor Kumuyi, is an anointed, time tested, unassuming preacher of the gospel, whom God has been using within and beyond this country to disseminate the good news of the gospel”.

“He is bringing with him a massage that comes to wipe away tears from the eyes of multitudes that are perpetually harassed, tormented and dehumanised in various spheres of their lives.

“I’m referring to millions of people in Enugu state and beyond who continue to face numerous spiritual, physical, psychological and mental agonies that have defied all known human remedy”

“As the man of God lifts this country in prayer during this crusade, we expect manifestation of the power of God that will also ensure a peaceful electioneering campaign and voting exercise that is facing Nigeria as a nation right now.

Pastor Ezenwajiofor, therefore, urged the people of southeast Nigeria, especially Enugu state resident to take advantage of the crusade in bringing their problems to God,who has the answer and remedy to every problems.

The state Pastor, listed the church regions where the crusade would take place to include Nsukka, Igboeze, Obollo, Aku, Udi, Awgu, Nkanu and Enugu.
