#Dasukigate: Court Grants Metuh Bail
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, January 19th, 2016A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the opposition PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh bail, who is currently standing trial over alleged Money laundering.
The bail bond involved payment of N400 Million. The embattled PDP Publicist was also ordered by the Court to deposit his international passport with the court’s Registrar and provide two sureties with N200 Million each.
The sureties the Court also held must have properties in the Maitama District of Abuja.
Metuh is among the top PDP members who have been indicted in the $2.1 Billion arms procurement money, #Dasukigate.
He had admitted he collected money from the former NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) on the approval of President Goodluck Jonathan. However, he never disclosed the amount he collected and the purpose it was used for.
Still, the EFCC invstigations have alleged he collected the sum of N400 Million from Col. Dasuki.
