#Dasukigate: Court Adjourns Metuh’s Hearing Till Monday, Over Poor Health
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Thursday, May 19th, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned next hearing of alleged money laundering suit against the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Spokesperson, Olisa Metuh till Monday, May 23, 2016.
Justice Okon Abang announced the adjournment, after being informed by Metuh’s Counsel, Mr. Emeka Etiaba, that his client’s state of health was unstable.
Metuh is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a seven count charges among which is alleged collection of N400 Million through a private firm, Destra Investments Limited from the office of former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (rted).
The sum was part of $2.1 billion arms procurement money to fight Boko Haram terrorists in the North East part of the country.
The party’s Publicist impair health came to public knowledge recently, when Metuh fell as he was about to take his seat during the party’s Board of Trustees meeting at the PDP headquarters, Abuja.
