The youth wing of apex Igbo socio cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has passed a vote of no-confidence on ex- Governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, over his reported involvement in the controversial $2.1b arms money allegedly distributed to politicians by former National security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki.
Operating under the aegis of Ohaneze youth Council OYC, the body called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to arrest him without further delay.
The Enugu state born veteran politician, had last week friday defected from the opposition peoples Democratic party, PDP to the ruling All Progress Congress APC.
OYC, made its position on the issue known Tuesday through its national president, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro
Nwobodo was named by ex- NSA, Dasuki to have received N500m from the controversial arms money.
Meanwhile, Nwobodo’s defection to the APC has continued to attract sharp criticisms, as some political watchers have described it as a move to shield himself from EFCC prosecution.
