Daniel Idonor Unveils Campaign Office In Udu Amidst Encomiums
Latest Headlines, News, News From The State Thursday, October 30th, 2014Orhuhworun Area of Udu local government, Delta state became a beehive of activities on Tuesday as a large supporters of Comrade Daniel Ovwigho Idonor stormed the area to formally open his campaign office in resilient pursuance to his Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency bid.
Unveiling the office located at no 38 Orhuhworun Road, Udu, Daniel Idonor posited that his entrance into the race was prompted by the dream to give quality representation as well as attract the dividends of democracy to the constituents.
The higher flyer contender and senior media officer in the office of the Nigeria President pointed out that the time has come for the people to witness a more proactive, purpose driven and people oriented representation.
He stressed that his legislative blue print is loaded with empowerment programmes that would open the area for development for all classes of people.
He noted further that his programmes for the youth would go a long a way in meaningfully engaging them thereby addressing the challenges of social vices ravaging the society.
While dedicating the campaign office to God, Almighty, the aspirant assured that he would regularly give feedback to the constituents so as to keep them abreast with development in the House as well brief them on the level and quality of representation being given.
On his part, Dr Henry Sakpra, former chairman of Udu local government area posited that the Udu people reposed confidence in the aspiration of the Idonor even as he expressed optimism that the aspirant would be able to provide effective and quality representation for the people. He therefore solicited full support for him.
Dr Henry Afure Sakpra hinted that he was moved to donate the office because of his political faith and sense of reliability on the aspirant.
He posited that, the Udu people were prepared to share in the Daniel Idonor’s vision for revolutionary changes required to bring positive result in the lives of the people.
The former council boss stressed that the Udu people and by extension the entire federal constituency was exhausted with the inefficient and poor quality representation of the area and as such needed a people oriented and purpose driven representation of the area, a feature they find in Daniel Idonor.
He stated further that, highly connected persons at the presidency who could use their weapon of contact to attract developmental projects to the area besides being influential in the house and sponsoring bills which would bring dividends of democracy to the area are those needed as representatives.
In his speech, while the aspirant promised to be a loud and influential voice in the house, he vowed to give equitable distribution of resources to the three constituents local government area.
Some of the Udu PDP leaders that were present at the ceremony include: Hon Patrick Ariole, former executive chairman of Udu local government; Hon Oyibo Yarhe, immediate past secretary of Udu (care taker committee) Sir Sam Sele, immediate past LEA secretary.
