Cult Groups On Rampage In Delta, Kill Pregnant Woman
Latest Headlines, News, News From The State Thursday, April 16th, 2015From Ignatius Okpara, Asaba – At least, two persons, including a pregnant woman were on Wednesday sent to their untimely graves when a suspected rival cult groups clashed in Agbor, Delta State.
African Examiner gathered that the cultists threw the entire community into tension after they killed and dumped their victims’ corpses along the roadside.
Regrettably, men of the state police command who nabbed some of the cultists were said to have set them free following the intervention of some highly placed individuals within and outside the state.
One of the victims is a pregnant woman who sells garri.
Police sources at the Divisional police station, hinted that two persons have been arrested while efforts have been intensified to apprehend the other cult members who are now at large.
Meanwhile, corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the Agbor General Hospital morgue.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Celestina Kalu, when contacted, said she is yet to get information on the callous act.
