Court Adjourns Ruling On Bail Application For Dasuki, Bafarawa, Others In N9.6 Billion Fraud Suit

A Federal High sitting in Abuja has adjourned ruling on bail application on the N9.6 Billion fraudulent and breach of trust suit, involving former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa and his son, Sagir, till Monday, December 21, 2015.
Others joined in the suit filed by the anti-graft body; the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are former Director of Finance and Administration in the office of ex-NSA (Dasuki), Shuaibu Salisu and a business outfit, Dalhatu investment Limited.
On Tuesday, the Court read charges against Dasuki and Salisu, over alleged stealing of the sum of N5.05 billion between April 14, and May 7, 2015.
The accused have pleaded not guilty to all the alleged crimes preferred against them.
Prosecution Counsel’s team led by Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) and defendants’ Counsels led by Ahmed Raji (SAN), argued for and opposed the bail application for the accused.
Justice Peter Affen after, adjourned hearing and ruling on the application till next week Monday.
