Confusion in Onitsha, as robbers kill member of vigilante group

The entire ever busy Okpoko area of Onitsha commercial city of Anambra state, was thrown into confusion tuesday as a gang of armed robbers killed a popular member of the vigilante group in the area.
The private security man, simply identified as (Stubborn) was gunned down by the dare devil robbers operating in motorbikes at Mugambo Market, Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area of the state.
A source who witnessed the incident told African Examiner that the robbers pursued the deceased from Elephant building where their office is located before gunning him down inside a building where he ran into for safety.
The dare devil hoodlums who, rode on motorbikes rushed into the compound and shot sporadically on the door which pulled off completely from the wall. They shot ‘stubborn’ severally on the head, chest and emptied an entire magazine on him before leaving him.
However, another eye witness account, had it that it took the combined effort of the Special Anti Robbery Squad SARS Okpoko led by DSP Anthony Ogah and the Okpoko vigilante with information provided by members of Movement For the Sovereign State Of Biafra,( MASSOB) to unravel the mystery of the armed invasion and killing.
The eyewitness disclosed that one of the robbers arrested by MASSOB had been handed over to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) at its headquarters in Awkuzu. However the police said the arrested suspect is now helping them with more information.
