Command And Staff College Reduces Abroad Training Cost – Commandant

The Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, since its inception 40 years ago, has helped in reducing the huge expenditure of sponsoring officers abroad.
College Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Suleiman Abubakar Dambo, disclosed this while responding to the Chairman House Committee on Defence, Hon. Muktar Aliyu, during his members oversight function to the school.
Dambo indicated that the mission and objectives of the College was to produce operational low and middle level military officers of the highest professional standard as well as ensure standardization of Staff Duties in Nigerian Armed Forces.
The Commandant added that the College was comparable to military institutions in other countries.
Earlier, Hon. Aliyu disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to assess the capital projects, handled in 2015 and consider where the committee could assist the College before approval for the next appropriated funds in the current fiscal year.
