Chibok: Troops Rescue Another Abducted School Girl
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Saturday, November 5th, 2016BORNO, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Nigerian Army has again found one of the abducted Government Secondary School Chibok girls.
Identified as Maryam Ali Maiyanga, the girl was discovered Saturday, while troops of 121 Battalion, Nigerian Army, deployed at Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, for Operation LAFIYA DOLE at about 6.00am, were screening some escapees from Boko Haram terrorists’ hideout in Sambisa forest.
In a statement by its Acting Director of Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said Maiyanga was ”discovered to be carrying a 10-month-old son, named Ali”.
”She has been taken to the unit’s medical facility for proper medical checkup”, Col Usman confirmed.
A total of 21 of the girls were released by the insurgents about four weeks ago a after a deal was struck between the Boko Haram and Federal Government.
