Chibok: Boko Haram Releases New Video; Demands Swap Of Abducted Girls With Detained Fighters
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, August 15th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Nigerian Boko Haram terrorists’ group Sunday released a video claiming that they are some of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
The video showed about 50 of the girls abducted in their school in April 2014, with a gunman demanding the release of the group’s fighters in return for the girls.
Among the captions in the video also claimed that some of the over 200 girls still being held have been killed in air strikes.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government through the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed reacted Sunday that it was doing everything possible to ensure the safety release of the remaining girls.
Alhaji Mohammed however added that the government was also being careful to ensure that those who FG has been in touch with are actually who they claimed to be.
