Certificate Crisis: Buhari’s School Releases His Secondary School Results
Featured, Latest Headlines Wednesday, January 21st, 2015Indications late Wednesday emerged that the controversial secondary school result of the former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has been released by his former school authorities.
Gen. Buhari, following the claims by the Nigerian army that it was in not possession of his secondary school credentials, addressed a press conference today (Wednesday) in Kano for clarification on the documents controversy.
The former Provincial Secondary School, (now Government College) Katsina, which Gen. Buhari disclosed he attended, released the result with examination centre number 8280 and candidate number – 002. The examination was conducted in 1961, which also tallied with his previous submission at the press conference.
Also in consistent with his revelation, the computer printout of the Cambridge examination confirmed that late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua among others also wrote the exam the same year.
The result indicated that he wrote 15 subjects, including English, Mathematics and all science subjects.
This may signal final full stop to the raging retired General’s secondary school credentials launched by the political class and advanced by the country’s army.
