Bukola Saraki’s Loyalists Shine at Kwara APC Congress, As Fulani-Balogun Emerges APC Chairman

A former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State, Alhaji Ishola Fulani-Balogun, has emerged as the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress unopposed.
Fulani-Balogun, loyalist of former governor of the state, Senator Bukola Saraki and other party executives emerged unopposed in congress attended by 1,264 delegates from 193 wards in 16 local governments of the state in Ilorin on Saturday.
Fulani-Balogun in his acceptance speech described the congress as historic and remarkable.
He promised to carry all the party stakeholders along in his administration.
Mr. Yemi Afolayan former secretary of PDP, who served as the interim secretary of APC after Senator Saraki led his followers to APC last year emerged as Kwara State APC secretary.

Committee Chairman, Alhaji Yunus Akintunde advised leaders not to be arrogant but to be accommodating.
Akintunde said: “As leaders, we should have the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the aspirations and complaints of our members. You will have challenges, they make life interesting, overcoming them, makes life meaningful.
“The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak. Be bold, but not bullish; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud but not arrogant.
“Never trade your values for valuables. It can cause stagnation in life. Imbibe true leadership qualities and values. Accommodate and engage all in true spirit of inclusiveness. All interest should be carried along and be accommodate”
