Buhari Won’t Use General After May 29 Swearing
Featured, Latest Headlines, Press Releases Monday, May 18th, 2015In what could be described as being influenced by spirit of democracy, the incoming President, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has informed the Public that he wishes to be addressed as President after May 29 swearing-in and inauguration.
APC Presidential Campaign Organization, Director of Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said this in a statement he issued Sunday in Abuja.
The statement explained that the President-elect and his v ice, (Professor Yemi Osinbajo were to be addressed respectively by their new nomenclatures – President and VP.
Shehu specified that the public should address Muhammadu Buhari as, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Prof. Osinbajo as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
