Buhari Swears in New Ministers, Assigns Portfolio Wednesday

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to officially inaugurate the new Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
Prior to the inaugural session of the new FEC, the Ministers-designate will take their oaths of office in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In a statement issued Sunday by President Buhari’s SA on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adeshina the swearing-in ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00am and the Ministers-designate are expected to be seated in the Council Chambers by 09:30 hours latest.
Each minister-designate is allowed to be accompanied to the ceremony by a maximum of two guests.
It is expected that the President will announce portfolios for the minister-designates on Wednesday.
Also, following the confirmation of their nominations by the Senate, President Buhari will Monday at the Presidential Villa, preside over the swearing-in of the just appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and five National Electoral Commissioners.
Prof. Yakubu swearing-in and the Commissioners, including Mrs. Amina Zakari, Mr. Solomon Adedeji Soyebi, Prof. Antonia Taiye Okoosi-Simbine, Dr. Muhammed Mustafa Lecky and Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo is scheduled for 11:00 Hours in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.
