Buhari Off To London As Petroleum Minister, Alison-Madueke Sneaks Into Same Flight
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Friday, May 22nd, 2015By Niyi Adeyi, Abuja – The outgoing Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, Friday morning was aboard the same British Airways flight to London, with the incoming President Muhammadu Buhari.
While Allison-Madueke’s trip mission was not officially disclosed, the incoming number one citizen was said to be traveling for weekend. He is expected back to Nigeria, next week Tuesday.
The Minister whose portfolio is in the forefront of the controversies that surround the three months fuel scarcity across the country, was said to originally plan to make a trip to London next week Tuesday.
It was learnt that the embattled Minister changed her mind and ensured she got booked on the same flight, immediately she was hinted about Buhari’s weekend trip to UK.
The arrangement is reportedly said to avail Allison-Madueke’s an opportunity of seeking Gen. Buhari’s audience on critical issues concerning her portfolio among other serious issues relating to the outgoing administration.
The incoming President weekend London trip took everyone by surprise, including his aides, especially as he was in his hometown, Daura, katsina State and just returned to Abuja late yesterday – Thursday.
