Buhari Meets With AbdulSalami Abubakar On State Of Affairs

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former Head of State, Gen. AbdulSalami Abubakar (retd) Thursday visited President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss with him, national and international issues.

While leaving after the brief meeting which held inside President Buhari’s office in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Gen Abubakar who is also the Chairman National Peace Committee on 2015 general elections, told State House Correspondents that his attention with Mr. President focused on issues of local interest as well as of international dimension.

The retired General who declined to clarify on the issues discussed at the meeting, when asked about his committee, said it has since been working and operating at the background after the polls over a year ago.

Gen. AbdulSalami added he has never been inactive, rather, has been engaged in persistent communication when and with those who are necessary.
