Buhari Commissions Lagos Emergency Unit
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, May 23rd, 2016LAGOS, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER)-President Muhammadu Buhari has officially commissioned the Lagos State Emergency Authority in Cappa Oshodi.
Mr President is currently being represented by his Deputy Professor Yemi Osinbajo on a two-day working visit to the State.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in his address at the commissioning, declared that the facility which is the first of its kind in the South West State and in Nigeria, declared would be useful for the emergency need of the State and the entire country.
Right after, the VP proceeded to the formal opening of the newly constructed Okota-Ago Palace link bridge also in Oshodo-Isolo Local Council area of the State.
Prof. Osinbajo on leaving Oshodi LG paid homage to the Oba of Lagos, HRM Riliwanu Akiolu in his Iga Idugaran expansive palace, Lagos Island.
The visit continues today with a State House reception; banquet later today and ends Tuesday with visit to the State’s Secretariat for an interactive session.
