Buhari Commends Williams On Promoting Corporate Governance In Nigeria
Featured, Latest Headlines Wednesday, October 21st, 2015President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the endless contributions of Mr. Akintola Williams to national progress and development, despite his grand old age of 96.
Specifically, President Buhari said the doyen of the accounting profession in Nigeria immense contributions were evident in his lecture series which was established to promote integrity, professionalism and sound corporate governance in Nigeria.
Mr. President in a statement issued Wednesday by his SA on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adeshina, commended Mr. Williams and the organizers of the annual lecture series on their choice of “Leadership Factors And Good Corporate Governance – Key to National Growth and Development” as the theme of this year’s lecture.
Buhari believed that the theme was a very apt and topical one, as he prepared to inaugurate a new Federal Executive Council (FEC) to drive the implementation of his administration’s agenda for national renaissance with the support and cooperation of all patriots and stakeholders in the well-being of Nigeria.
President Buhari congratulated Mr. Williams on his 96th birthday anniversary which was marked recently, wishing him extraordinary longevity in the service of his nation and humanity.
