Buhari Charges Public Officers To Justify Promotion
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Thursday, June 23rd, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN NIGERIA) – President Muhammadu Buhari has charged public officers entrusted with certain responsibilities to live up to their duties and justify the confidence reposed in them as so as to ensure that Nigeria is liberated from its current hardships.
Mr. President in a statement by his SSA on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said this Thursday in Abuja while decorating two of the newly promoted officers of the Nigerian Police Force deployed to his office.
While congratulating the officers and urging them to justify their new ranks by increasing their commitment to the service of the nation, the President also commended them for their diligence and achievements which brought about their promotion.
He stressed that Nigeria needed their dedication and unwavering commitment for it to achieve greatness and assume its rightful position, as well as cautioned them not to abuse their positions.
The newly promoted officers were Abdulkarim Dauda and Kayode Sikiru Akande, both from the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police to Deputy Commissioner of Police. They are to serve as the Chief Personal Security Officer to the President and the Officer in Charge of Presidential Movement respectively.
