IGP Abba Distances Force From Ban On Use Of Hijab
Latest Headlines, News Monday, August 4th, 2014The Nigeria Police Force has denied the rumour that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Suleimon Abba has banned the use of hijab by Muslim women in the country.
The denial was made in a statement just posted on the Public Relations Officer in the Force Headquarters Abuja, ACP Frank Mba’s blog.
Mba confirmed the speculation was not true, adding for the “purposes of emphasis, the new IGP Abba has not and is not contemplating a ban on the use of hijab”.
Mba therefore warned the rumour mongers to refrain from the acts that could bring “untold consequences to themselves and the entire society”.
