Breaking News! Former FRSC Boss, Osita Chidoka Appointed as New Aviation Minister
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014The immediate past Corps Marshall and Executive Director of the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Osita Chidoka, has been appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan as new Minister of Aviation.
Mr. Chidoka replaces Stella Oduah, who was sacked in February over armored car purchase scandals.
His appointment was announced on Wednesday alongside another nominee, Mr. Abubakar Olanrewaju, from Kwara state.
Mr Olanrewaju is appointed National Planning Minister to replace Shamsudeen Usman who was removed last September.
Both ministers were sworn on Wednesday before the weekly Federal Executive Council, (FEC) meeting in Abuja.
Meanwhile, another highest ranking officer in FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi has been named the successor to former Corps Marshall, Chidoka. President Jonathan said the new Executive Director’s choice was to ensure continuity in the agency.
