(BREAKING): Unknown Gunmen Attack Soludo’s Aguata LGA , Set Headquarters Ablaze
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Thursday, April 7th, 2022(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Barely a week after unknown gunmen attacked the Nnewi South Council area of Anambra State, hoodlums Thursday afternoon invaded Governor Soludo’s Aguata local government area headquarters , sets it ablaze.
As at the time of filing this report, the Council is currently said to be under heavy attack by arsonists believed to be the dreaded unknown gunmen that have made life unbearable for residents of South East Nigeria.
Soludo hails from Aguata, local government area of the state.
It was also learnt that the unknown armed men attacked the popular Eke Ekwulobia market also located in the Council area.
The Anambra State police public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, when contacted said “following the report of the fire incident at the local government headquarters, the command has deployed men to the area and the situation has been brought under control.”
Ikenga, disclosed that Fire Service men have been contacted and they’re already combating the inferno.
He however, promised to get back with more details when they’re available to him.
It would be recalled that two officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC were shot dead in Igboukwu-Ezinifite-Uga road last Monday
The Governor had declared an end to the Monday’s sit-at-home which the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB had suspended but some hoodlums are still enforcing it.
Anambra and Imo States are currently the most hit by the unknown gun men’s activities in South East zone of the country .
