BREAKING NEWS: Governor Uzodinma’s House Attacked; Set On Fire In Imo
African News, Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Saturday, April 24th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Less than a month after the Imo state police headquarters and Correctional Service facilities in Owerri were violently attacked by unknown gunmen, the country home of the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, at Omuma, Oru East Council area was on Saturday attacked and set ablaze by unknown hoodlums.
It was gathered that the perpetrators who wore black and black attire, stormed the mansion in the early hours of Saturday.
A source close to the Imo state government who confirmed the incident, under condition of anonymity, said sympathizers and natives struggled to extinguish the inferno.
He said many government official and private vehicles were destroyed by the fire.
African Examiner also gathered that a security guard was killed in the incident.
Efforts to reach Imo state police public relations officer (PPRO) Orlando Ikeokwu hit the brick wall, as his mobile phone line was switched off as at the time of filing this report.
