Former Speaker Na’abba Dumps PDP, Declares For APC
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, March 17th, 2015From Ganiyu Nasirudeen – About 48 hours after dropping his resignation letter, former House Speaker, Rt. Hon. Umaru Ghali Na’Abba visited All Progressives Congress (APC) head office, in Abuja and declared for the opposition party.
Speculations are rife since Sunday that the former Speaker might opt for the APC most especially that his supporters in his home State, Kano had since declared for the same opposition.
It would be recalled Hon. Na’ Abba in an epistle (resignation letter) Sunday, painted unpleasant pictures of his experience and other late as well as living PDP National Chieftains, who he lamented had died or left it (PDP) with frustration.
Na’Abba also attacked President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration of lacking focus and integrity.
The former ruling party Chieftain recalled that he was once out of the PDP, but returned in 2007, as he perceived change was beckoning, when late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was sworn – in as the President.
He however confessed he was yet to be fulfilled with his aspirations of true democratic government, noting that 16 years at the centre was a disaster while describing the leading opposition (APC) as the political party of the moment.
