BREAKING: INEC Declares PDP’s Ihedioha Winner Of Imo Guber Election
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Monday, March 11th, 2019(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The former deputy speaker of the house of representatives and the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Emeka Ihedioha has been declared the winner of Saturday’s Imo state governorship election.
The state returning officer for the governorship election, Mr. Francis Chukwuemeka Otonta on Monday said that Mr Ihedioha of the PDP won the election with the total votes of 273,404 votes.
While Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law and the candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, Uche Nwosu, got 190,364.
Mr Ifeanyi Araraume of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA polled 114,676 while Accord Party candidate Mr Ikedi Ohakim, polled 6,846.
