BREAKING: Detained Jonathan CSO, Obua Regains Freedom
Featured, Latest Headlines Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015By Abdul Gaffar Bello – The Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan Gordon Obua, who was arrested last week and being held by the DSS has been released.
Obua who was detained July 16 for alleged money laundering related cases was speculated to have been maltreated late last week as well as rumored to have died due to stress of hunger strike he allegedly embarked upon, in protest against denial of the right to his medication, Lawyers and members of his family.
The former CSO at a press conference Tuesday in Abuja held at the DSS headquarters, denied all the allegations, as well as declared he was “alive and well”.
He also confirmed that his appointment with the security agency was still intact.
