BREAKING: Annular Eclipse: Abuja Residents, Scientists, Others Witness Exercise
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Thursday, September 1st, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – As the world awaits emergence of annular eclipse, some residents of FCT Abuja are currently at the Obasanjo Space centre to witness the exercise.
To witness the eclipse are government officials, students, parents, scientists and officials of the National Space among others.
As recommended by the experts, the onlookers are with their designated sun shade glasses so as to catch the full glimpse of the natural phenomenon without defect or damage to their eyes.
The partial eclipse is predicted to happen around 8.20am today -Thursday.
The last annular eclipse in Nigeria happened in September 2013. The one before that occurred in March 2006.
AFRICAN EXAMINER can now report that the eclipse has reached the peak couples of minutes ago in Abuja while residual was witnessed in some parts of Lagos State.
