Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The abductors of the six individuals that were kidnapped from the University of Abuja on Tuesday have reached out to their families demanding payment of 300m ransom.
Sources familiar with the matter confirmed the new development to our correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday.
“They demanded N50 million naira for each person, they have contacted the family but that is all we know for now,” one source said.
Our correspondent gathered that the Public Relations Officer of the school, Habib Yakoob stated, “They got in touch with the family, the parents of the abducted children were contacted. We learnt they are asking for N300 million for all of them”.
African Examiner reports that a yet-to-be-disclosed number of gunmen stormed the University of Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday morning and kidnapped two professors, a non-academic staff and three others.
