Chelsea Appoint Antonio Conte As New Head Coach
Latest Headlines, Sports News Monday, April 4th, 2016The Blues have appointed another Italian, Antonio Conte, as their new first team haed Coach.
Conte, a 46-year-old ex-Juventus boss is expected to begin a three-year contract, from this summer, after his country’s participation in Euro 2016. The tournament holds July 10.
The incoming Chelsea Head Coach on his new roles said “I am proud to be the Coach of the National team of my country and only a role as attractive as Manager of Chelsea could follow that”.
The immediate past Chelsea Coach, Jose Mourinho was succeeded by Guus Hiddink. He is expected to remain in the same capacity until the end of the season.
It would be recalled Conte won the Serie A title in each of his three years as Juventus boss. He will become the Blues’ fifth Italian Manager.His predecessors include: Gianluca Vialli, Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancelotti and Roberto di Matteo.
Speaking on the new development, the Blues’ Director, Marina Granovskaia, “we are very pleased to have recruited one of the most highly regarded managers in world football”.
