Black Sunday: Flood sweeps Away Nine-Year-Old Girl In Asaba

Tragedy struck on Sunday evening in Boji Boji, area of Asaba, Delta state capital, South South Nigeria, as heavy flood swept away a nine year old girl.
African Examiner gathered that the incident occurred at about seven in the night when flood over ran the popular Old Lagos-Asaba road.
Narrating to African Examiner Correspondent, an eye witness, Mr. James Elue, said the father of the little girl (names withheld) was riding on his motorbike to the house with the wife and little deceased when the unfortunate incident occurred .
“The man was trying to enter Alika Street, at Boji Boji Owa, through Old Lagos Asaba road, when the heavy flood swept the motorcycle away”, the source told our Correspondent.
Consequently, the family fell into the gutter and before the man and the wife could wriggle out of the flood, their little girl has been washed away to an unknown location.
