Black Easter: Teenager Murders Cousin On Easter Sunday In Enugu
Latest Headlines, News, News From The State Tuesday, April 7th, 2015From Ignatius Okpara, Enugu – The police in Enugu has arrested a teenager, Ifeanyi Ihejika, for allegedly killing his cousin, Izuchukwu Ihejika.
He blamed the gruesome act on Satan.
African Examiner reports that the incident took place in Amankpunato village, in Oji River Council Area of Enugu State, on Easter Sunday.
It was gathered that Ifeanyi took to his heels after fatally shooting Izuchukwu with a locally made pistol on Easter morning.
Although he was eventually arrested by the police.
Reasons behind the murder are yet to be determined, according to the police.
Enugu State Police Public Relations officer, PPRO Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the ugly incident to African Examiner in Enugu, said the locally made pistol used in committing the murder was recovered from Ifeanyi upon his arrest by the police.
He said Ifeanyi is blaming his action on Satan.
Amarizu said: “The suspect is saying that the act is the handiwork of Satan,” the police.
He added that the police have commenced full scale investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary of Achi Joint Hospital, Enugu, for autopsy.
