Bayelsa Guber: More Troubles As Kinsmen Disown Embattled Jonathan’s Aide
Latest Headlines, News, News From The State Thursday, May 28th, 2015The Special Assistant to the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic Affairs, Waripomowei Dudufa, is in for more troubles.
Despite his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party over anti-party activities, leaders of the party and Elders Forum in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have taken him to the cleaners following his uncomplimentary comments on the Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson.
They described him as treacherous, deceitful, ingrate and “a total disappointment to the KOLGA race.”
The party leaders, who incidentally are from his LGA described his remarks against the governor as “childish and ill-informed”.
The spokesperson of the Forum, Ekpein Appah, in a statement issued on Thursday in Yenagoa, slammed Dudafa, saying it was most unfortunate that an aide to Jonathan “could attempt to run his mouth against his own state governor”, despite being one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Dickson-led Restoration government.
He said, “My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly issued by Waripamowei Dudafa, where he was accusing the governor of corruption, acts of impunity, nepotism and the like. It is sad indeed that somebody like Dudafa could be bold enough to make such comments against the governor who has been adjudged as one of the most transparent, honest and incorruptible political leaders in Nigeria.
“There is need to draw a clear line of distinction between Dudafa, a common political tout and power drunk errand boy with a rouge mentality and who the person of the governor is. There is really no basis for comparison because it will amount to making a comparison between gross darkness and light. Governor Dickson has earned his place in history as a transformational leader and a towering political figure whose record of public service is unmatched since the creation of the state.
“If he (Dudafa) thinks he has the balls to play politics, he should mobilize his supporters in new APGA and come out to meet us on the field. Now that he is jobless, we expect him to throw his hat into the ring since he claims he has set aside N15 billion to wrestle the governorship seat from the incumbent”.
