Bayelsa: APC Plans to Destroy Electricity Generators, says Dickson’s Campaign Group

The Restoration Campaign Organization of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson on Thursday in Yenagoa uncovered plans by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to destroy generators belonging to Bayelsa State government.

The generators would be for providing street lights.
Investigations revealed that the APC’s plan is to disguise as refueling the generators with Automated Gas Oil (AGO) popularly called diesel purported to on street lights, in the process adding sodium chloride commonly called salt to knock the generators.

This plot, according to a reliable source, is just the same antics they applied in the purported cleaning up of refuse dumps but that their ultimate aim is to destabilized the Restorations Government’s operation light up Bayelsa state as most of the local Government Areas in the state have been linked to the National grid.

The Director of Media and Publicity in the RCO, Hon. Jonathan Obuebite in a statement in Yenagoa stated that the APC plot is to distract the PDP from its issue base campaign.

APC, he said is bent on introducing violence into the state polity rather than campaigning for votes in the forthcoming Governorship election which the opposition is not sure of winning following the meltdown it is suffering from the gale of defections of its members on daily basis.

Obuebite, therefore called on the security agencies in the state to be alive to their responsibilities as the state Government will not fold its arms and allow hooligans to destroy tax payers property in the name of politics, stressing that the law will take its cause.

According to him, the opposition which is well known for its violence is just out to provoke the Restoration campaign team in order to cause mayhem in the state as it had already recruited cultists and criminals from neighboring states to disrupt the existing peace, law and order.
