Barcelona Sign Striker Paco Alcacer With 26m Pounds
Latest Headlines, Sports News Tuesday, August 30th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Barcelona have signed in Spain striker Paco Alcacer with 30m euros – £25.5m plus add-ons from Valencia.
Having scored 30 La Liga goals in three years, 23 years-old Alcacer is considered to be one of the Spain’s promising young talents. The Striker signed a five-year deal.
He was once a Captain at the Mestalla Stadium under Gary Neville last season.
His contract includes a 100m euro (£85m) buy-out clause, which is most likely to worth another 2m euros (£1.7m) in “variables” to Valencia.
Luis Enrique’s Barcelona have been engaged in the summer, to sign a forward to complement their fronts including Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
Alcacer is the sixth summer entrant into the Spanish champions, after goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen; defenders Lucas Digne and Samuel Umtiti and midfielders Andre Gomes, from Valencia as well as Denis Suarez.
Ahead of revealing the signing, Barcelona Monday ran a competition on their website to win Alcacer jersey.
