Award winning Gospel Singer, Kefe Don Momoh is Dead
Entertainment News, Featured, Latest Headlines Friday, June 13th, 2014Multiple award-winning gospel singer, Kefee Don Momoh, is dead. She passed on in the early hours of today, after being in coma for weeks in an undisclosed American hospital.
African Examiner source (Daily Post) revealed Momoh went into a coma, after collapsing on a 14-hour flight on her way to Chicago for an event about two weeks ago. A close family source revealed she was diagnosed of pre-eclampsia – pregnancy induced high blood pressure.
A close friend of her husband OAP Yaw, confirmed the news on a Lagos FM station (Wazobia), this morning, saying: “One of her our very own is dead. May her soul rest in peace.”
Kefee whose music career started at age of eight in her church choir, was reputed for her gospel songs ‘Branama’ and ‘Kokoroko’. She had won several awards including the best collaboration Headies Award in 2010.
Until her death, she resided with her husband in US and managed her restaurant, Branama Kitchen, in Lagos.
